Installer blocked

InboxAI Desktop v0.1.4 is currently distributed without Microsoft Authenticode signing on Windows and without Apple Developer ID signing/notarization on macOS. Windows SmartScreen or macOS Gatekeeper may therefore require an additional confirmation.

Windows SmartScreen

When Windows shows a protection warning, first confirm that the installer came from downloads.inboxai.info and that its checksum matches.

  1. Select More infoReveal the filename and available action.
  2. Confirm the official filenameIt must match the Windows v0.1.4 release filename.
  3. Select Run anywayContinue only after the checksum has been verified.

macOS Gatekeeper

After copying InboxAI to Applications, macOS may require additional confirmation because the application is not Apple Developer ID signed or notarized.

  1. Open ApplicationsLocate InboxAI in the Applications folder.
  2. Right-click InboxAIChoose Open from the context menu.
  3. Confirm OpenAlternatively allow InboxAI through System Settings → Privacy & Security.

Stop when anything looks different

Do not bypass a warning for a file downloaded from another domain, renamed unexpectedly or producing a different SHA-256 value.
